Raisa Mkrtchyan

Armine Sarkisyan was born and grew up in Yerevan, Armenia, a city with rich cultural heritage. She spent her youth surrounded by many talented musicians and composers like Arno Babajanyan, Robert Amirkhanyan, Martin Vardazaryan, Stepan Shakaryan and many others. This rich, emotion-triggering experience did influence her future career. Also, it was her mother, Raisa Mkrtchyan, Honoured artist of Republic of Armenia, famous Soviet and Armenian singer and musician, who set the foundation for her development as a true artist and bright personality.

1985 1990. Armine Sarkisyan graduated from the Central Music School of Tchaikovsky specializing in piano, continued with the piano faculty diploma from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. 1994 1996. Moved to Moscow and started her solo performances, conducting concerts and touring with Nikolay Arutyunov as a part of team called Blues League. Armine also participated in signature studio projects with Russian stars like Uriy Antonov, Oleg Gazmanov, Alexey Glizin, Soso Pavliashvili, VIA Nadejda and many others. 1995 1998. Joined the Gnesins' Academy of Music in Moscow as high as a 2nd year student, specializing in variety arts and jazz vocalism. Having obtained the degree in 1998, she begun giving vocal classes on Variety-jazz and variety arts in MPGU .

With Oleg Lundstrem

Armine Sarkisyan joined the State Jazz Orchestra of Oleg Lundstrem in 1997 (firstly at orchestras vocal quartet Moscow-Transit), pretty soon becoming a lead solo of that legendary record holding orchestra honored by Guinness book as the most long-playing orchestra. She shared the remarkable experience with Maya Kristallinskaya, Alla Pugacheva, Irina Ponarovskaya, Irina Otieva, Valeri Obodzinski, the stars who used to be soloists of the Jazz Orchestra of Oleg Lundstrem at the different times in the past. The orchestra has always been the heart of Russian jazz music and talent faundry of many gifted musicians like Georgy Garanyan, Igor Butman, Alexey Zubov, Stanislav Grigoriev, Nikolay Panov and many others.

Meeting Oleg Lundstrem, a truly one of the most outstanding musicians of XX century, helped Armine Sarkisyan form her unique style and set track for further remarkable achievements.

Her classic musical education, charming appearance, amazing personality, one-of-a-kind voice range, huge potential and professionalism served her well to earn high-class positioning in the music world and be come a warmly welcomed guest at the most prestigious stages in Russia and abroad.
