Armine Sarkisyan

Armine Sarkisyan is a prominent Russian singer, a musician of broad artistic range.

She was rewarded as a Merited Artist of Russian Federation. Being a laureate of the numerous Russian and international festivals, she was recognized by special prizes of prestigious international festivals in Havana in 2012 and 2015.

Her vast repertory harmonically blends world jazz standards, soulful melodies of Russian romances, Latin American boleros and French chansons.

During 17 years Armine Sarkisyan performed as a lead solo of the legendary Russian State Jazz Orchestra founded by the great musician of XX century Oleg Lundstrem. She took part in many important jazz events nationwide and internationally, enjoying great success and touring many countries abroad, thus, acquired well deserved recognition of jazz professionals as well as admiration love of audience.

Armine collaborated and performed with the leading musicians of contemporaneity such as Anatoly Kroll (Russia), Georgy Garanian (Russia), Daniil Kramer (Russia), Deborah Brown (USA), John Downes (UK), Antti Rissanen (Finland), Leonid Ptashka (Israel), Joe Moran (USA), Omara Portuondo (Cuba), Pedrito Calvo (Cuba), Emilio Morales (Cuba), State camera orchestra “Moscow Virtuosi” directed by Vladimir Spivakov (Russia), Academic Big concert orchestra after Y.V.Silantyev directed by Alexander Klevitsky (Russia), National symphonic orchestra of radio and television of Cuba directed by Miguel Patterson (Cuba) and etc.

Recently Armine Sarkisyan enjoyed great success in Moscow and Habana, where performed as author and lead solo with the joint Russian-Cuban project “Cuba-Russia. Nostalgy”.

Nowadays Armine Sarkisyan is actively touring, performing widely with different projects and concerts at the national and international festivals and events in Russia and abroad. She also gives vocal classes at 2 academic faculties (musical theatre and variety arts) being professor of Russian University of Theatre Art (GITIS).
